Diana watched the movers drive away in their truck, then she dragged the heavy oak door to her new house closed. Well, hers and her sister’s new house. New for them that is, not in general, because it was a very old house.
This was a dream they had shared since they were very little, to own their own houses, and they were ecstatic when they signed the papers for this one. The only downside was that they had had to buy one together. But they were good friends, and one day they’d be able to resell and both get their own separate homes, probably right next door to each other.
